I was born is Cincinnati, OH. I knew growing up I would be a homemaker and someday live on the coast. I was a full time homemaker for 27 years. I home schooled my children, canned food, made bread, gardened, sewed my own dresses, quilted, volunteered, and anything else that I could do myself for my family. A regular Suzie-homemaker I guess; but I loved it completely. I’ve been told I’m a nurturer and I think that is pretty true and why being an Innkeeper fits me. Wanting others to be comfortable and meeting their needs are just a part of who I am.
Now that my children are all grown up, I’m again a full time homemaker but single this time around and basically doing all the same things. I love being here in Crescent City and I’ve found a lot of healing. The beauty in the sound and sight of the ocean is calming. Going down the beach and collecting agates is always a welcome retreat when I have the time. Then again, going outside to mow is almost as fun. (I’m weird that way)
Now that the weather is warming up, I’m biking to do most of my shopping but that’s mainly to get some exercise and of course to just enjoy the ride. Recently I bought a pair of in-line roller blades and as one neighbor said, “your a brave one”!
I love working at Scopa and I love being here to help answer any questions and make our guests feel as comfortable as possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask! I am here to help make your stay the best it can possibly be.
