I’m Laura Wiens, innkeeper at Scopa at the Sea. I’m here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
That means I’ll be the smiling face greeting your arrival, your source of some local knowledge about the redwoods and the coast during an early evening wine and cheese social, and of course your breakfast chef.
I’ve been lucky enough to live for many years in this undiscovered region nestled between the tallest trees in the world and a gorgeous coastline.
Being the innkeeper of Crescent City’s premier bed & breakfast allows me to do several of my favorite things: cook delectable meals, meet new people and help them enjoy this little piece of heaven to the upmost.
I grew up in Carmel-By-The-Sea, another beautiful (and better known) California coastal community. I’ve also lived in Cape Cod, Mass.; Spokane, Wash.; Colorado Springs and Honolulu.
This innkeeper also happens to be an oil painter and my landscapes, seascapes and architectural paintings are sold in galleries in Carmel and Honolulu, in addition to the Gallery of Arts & Culture in Crescent City.
You may see one of my works taking shape during your stay!
Adventure awaits you on California’s far-northern coast, and I’m looking forward to helping you enjoy your home base at Scopa at the Sea.
